寬筋藤簡介
本品為防已科植物心葉寬筋藤Tinospora cordifolia (wulld) Miers或寬筋藤Tinospora sinensis (Lour.) Merr. 的干燥莖。全年可采,砍取地上部分,除去嫩枝及葉，切段，曬干。民俗療法中，寬筋藤被用來治療風濕病（rheumatism）、挫傷（bruises）及腰肌勞損（lumber muscle strain）等[1]。目前經研究也顯示寬筋藤可能具有抗發炎(anti-inflammatory)[2]、免疫調節(immunomodulatory)[3]及抗高血糖(antidiabetic)[4]等活性。

外觀簡述

莖 | 多年生草本植物，外觀挺直，有單一或分枝兩種外觀，外表光滑，高度可達40-80公分高。 |

葉 | 單葉對生，短葉柄，柄長約1.5-3.5公分；葉長約6-12公分，寬1.5-3公分；外觀呈現披針形或長橢圓披針形，葉基底城楔形，葉尖漸尖或銳形。 |

花 | 繖形聚傘花序，花軸有短毛，長約3-6公分；花梗亦有短毛，長約1-2公分；花萼五裂，每一裂長約0.7-1公分，裂片呈現反捲曲，長橢圓或銳形，幾近光滑；副花冠呈橙色鱗片狀，長約0.3-0.4公分；雄蕊長0.2-0.3公分；花粉成塊狀。花期4-6月。 |

產地
分布於美洲熱帶地區，在台灣已歸化，於路旁和河溝均可見其蹤跡。
